Didn't Live Up to the Hype
Got the chance to play Persimmon and was really expecting it to be one of the nicer courses that I’ve ever played. I don’t know if I was expecting too much from it and as a result was let down when it didn’t stack up to Augusta National, but I really wasn’t impressed with it. The layout was nice, but the greens were bumpy and burnt up and the fairways were hard as a rock on most holes. Way to much sand in the bunkers too. It is a tough course though, but again, not as tough as I was expecting. I was expecting almost unplayable conditions at time from everything I’ve heard, but it really wasn’t that bad. There are a few holes you could get around the greens and easily double or worse if you’re not careful, but all in all just an average course.
