Ryder Cup Media Pass Info Finalized

I received additional information this past Thursday regarding my 2008 Ryder Cup Media Credentials. I knew I was approved for a media credentials and I also knew they have different levels of credentials that get you into different areas. I’m getting “Media” credentials which gets me into the: Grounds, Media Center, Interview Room, and Media Dining.

Having access to all of those areas as a part of the Media is an unbelievable opportunity. I’m allowed to also have a camera with me (borrowed a nice Nikon D40 from someone at work), so having access to those areas + camera = some sweet pictures in which I’ll be able to upload to the gallery at KentuckyGolfing. The only thing I was disappointed about was not having “inside the ropes” access. I was really hoping to get in there and get some good pictures, but the credential that gets you “inside the ropes” only allows you inside the ropes at one arms length, so it’s not really that great of an advantage if you ask me. Either way, I’ve got a great opportunity to not only enjoy a once in a lifetime event with insider access, but I’ll hopefully get KentuckyGolfing some exposure as well.

As of right now I’m tentatively planning on attending Wednesday’s practice round, Friday evening’s matches, Saturday all day, and possibly Sunday all day.
