Kentucky Golfing is Live

Welcome to Kentucky Golfing, Kentucky’s Online Golf Resource. My name is Deron Sizemore and I created and manage Kentucky Golfing. The idea for Kentucky Golfing was born in 2005 but at the time I didn’t have the resources to create the site. So, I’ve been sitting on the domain name for going on three years now. I finally got serious about developing the site about a year ago and I’ve been working diligently ever since to finish the site.

The site is finally live as you can see, so feel free to browse around and check everything out. The site will always be a work in progress and I’ve still got a few small kinks to work out, but overall, it’s finished.

What’s Kentucky Golfing have to Offer?

I’m a golf addict myself and I’ve created Kentucky Golfing from a golfers perspective. I’ve tried to include all of the features that a golfer could want in a golf site:

Blog

The blog is where I will share my personal experiences with topics centered around the game of golf. As the site grows, I hope to have additional authors sharing their own thoughts and experiences as well. Visitors will also be able to comment on each article in the blog allowing conversation with other Kentucky golfers.

Courses

The courses section is a database of Kentucky golf courses. You can search for a course by name, city, zip, or course type (public or private) and find information on that course prior to playing it. You will also be able to rate and review each course, thus helping other golfers in Kentucky decide what courses are the “must plays” in Kentucky. The top ten list found on the courses page is the top ten courses in Kentucky as rated by you, the golfer. In addition to rating and reviewing the course, members of Kentucky Golfing have the added ability to “favorite” a course. When you favorite a course, it goes into your member favorites page so it’s easily accessible anytime.

Course Spotlight

In the course spotlight section, we feature one course every few weeks and give you an in-depth review of the course and hopefully arm you with all the knowledge you’ll need before playing the course yourself.

We’ve teamed up with some of the best golf instructors from around the state to provide instruction articles and assist in your journey to become a better golfer.

Gallery

The gallery gives you a chance to take a look at all the beautiful course layouts that can be found in Kentucky. Members of Kentucky Golfing can even upload their own pictures into the gallery.

Forums

The discussion forums are a great place to get tips, hang out and chat with other golfers from around the state. If you like talking golf or need help with your game, you’ve come to the right place.
